SAN DIEGO—A judge ruled in favor of a lawsuit against the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) for implementing a vaccine mandate for students 16 and older. The legal challenge was filed by the group Let Them Choose on Oct. 12 after the SDUSD school board unanimously approved the vaccine mandate for students by Dec. 20. Let Them Choose is a group formed by Let Them Breathe, an organization against mask mandates for K-12 students. Let Them Choose was launched to advocate for choice in education, including the right to refuse the COVID-19 vaccine.
